Tabata Strength - Lower Body Love

We're going to really hit our hips and thighs, but don't worry, we're giving that upper body some love too! This total body workout alternates two rounds of one exercise, with two rounds of a second exercise, then repeated to complete a total of four rounds of each exercise.

Tabata Strength is a form of interval training, and involves performing a strength exercise for 20s, followed by a short 10s rest period, for a total of 8 rounds (4 minutes). The short 20s interval allows you to lift heavier and work harder, while the 10s rest period helps keep your heart pumping. While designed to be a high intensity format, the great thing about interval training is that you are able to work at your level, increasing the intensity or difficulty as you get stronger. This class is accessible to all levels, with modifications and low impact options offered.

Equipment needed: Bands (or dumbbells), Mat for floorwork
